Wi-Fi Hotspot

$59.99

The weatherproof Connected at Sea Wi-Fi Hotspot outputs NMEA 0183 data over Wi-Fi for use on a computer, smartphone or tablet running applications from OpenCPN (Android), Imray Boat Instruments (Apple iOS) and Navionics (Android and Apple iOS).

Designed to be simpler to use than other Wi-Fi products, the device creates its own WiFi hotspot and supports UDP protocol as used in marine navigation programs. No fiddling with web pages or browser settings and no complicated jargon to understand.

The weatherproof design also sets it apart, as the device is easily mounted in any location, exterior or interior, with just two screws.

For NMEA 0183 devices such as a multiplexer, simply attach the NMEA A (yellow) and NMEA B (white) wires to the equipment at 38400 baud (RS-422 standard Version 2 and above). The USB version plugs directly to a computer at 38400 baud.

The red power wire attaches to (+) 5 volt and the black ground wire to attaches to (-) 5 volt DC power source.

The Wi-Fi Hotspot housing is approximately 10 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm in dimension.
